We specialise in improving health & wellbeing of BAME communities by increasing activity participation through play, sports & fun fitness programmes.

Moving Mothers Cycle project is a new initiative designed to empower BAME women from low income backgrounds to access cycling in Tower Hamlets and improve their health & wellbeing and build their confidence to create role models to inspire others.

Targeting Bengali & Somali women from Mile End and Bow in particular we will offer them access to free intro bike training sessions to build confidence and explore parks in the borough with their children. We will offer them free bike rental during the sessions as well as the associated safety gear to facilitate the sessions to address some of the inequalities and cultural taboos in cycling particularly for women from low income households.

Our collaboration with Bikeworks is an excellent example of community cohesion and has helped us to support children and families from low income households that would otherwise not have access to good quality bikes. We look forward to growing this ongoing partnership to continue supporting diverse communities.
