We are a small, diverse charity with a big reach and novel approach to social change.
Since 1983, we have been offering grassroots support to our local community. We pride ourselves on the positive impact our learning programmes have had on people’s lives. But we don’t stop there. Our mission is to challenge and expose structural inequality, because we believe the UK has the potential to grow into the most socially cohesive and inclusive society in the world. This vision is already alive; Nova is a microcosm of such a society. Our team – leadership, staff, volunteers and participants – is inclusive, dynamic and open-minded, and reflects the communities we work with.

Our Visionary funders don’t just donate, they now connect with our roots community on an equal platform, learning from each other. By working together, we can build a world that is better for everyone.
Regardless of background or status, we create opportunities for people to learn, grow and experience new perspectives. At our regular dialogue events, we share our insights and lived experiences to highlight systemic injustice and work towards a brighter future together.

[Head of Children, Young People and Families]
Thank you so much to Bikeworks for the generous donation of fantastic new bikes for our young people. In financially challenging times, a new children’s bike is luxury that many of the families we work with could not otherwise afford. A bike is more than a plaything, promoting health and wellbeing by encouraging both exercise and exploration in the outdoors. The excitement on receiving a bike of their own demonstrates just how valuable your gift is to our young people. All of us here at Nova are very grateful for your support.
